EXPERIENCE
Juan Pablo is Head of Practice for the Concentrations and Corporate Investigations specialties at Claro & Cía.
His practice focuses on Competition Law and Litigation, leading advisory work on mergers and acquisitions from a competition control perspective, as well as high-profile internal investigations. In this role, he has acted as leading counsel in multi-jurisdictional transactions and has represented clients in administrative proceedings and litigation relating to cartels and securities markets, both in Chile and in other jurisdictions. He also provides preventive advice on commercial contracts and policies, and delivers training to executives and staff on competition law matters.
In the academic sphere, he is a professor of Economic Law at the Faculty of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also served as a research assistant at the UC Competition Law Center.
He joined Claro & Cía. as an associate in 2012. Between 2017 and 2018, he worked as an international associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York, within the Government Enforcement and White Collar Crime group.
He is licensed to practice law in Chile and is a member of the Colegio de Abogados de Chile.
