EXPERIENCE

Martín has focused his practice on litigation, arbitration, antitrust and economic regulation. He joined Claro & Cia. as a paralegal in 2012 and rejoined as an associate in 2015. Between 2022 and 2023 he worked as an international visiting attorney in the litigation department of Shearman & Sterling LLP, in New York.

He has experience in civil, commercial, and antitrust litigation, as well as consumer class actions.

In antitrust matters, he has represented clients in governmental investigations and judicial proceedings related to cartels, abuse of dominance, merger control and regulatory recommendations. He has also provided preventive advice regarding contracts and commercial policies, and has trained executives and employees on antitrust issues. He has been twice recognized as an outstanding under 35 attorney in antitrust law by the Antitrust Law Program of the Universidad Católica de Chile (2021 and 2022).

In relation to technology and privacy, he is a member of the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) and has been certified as CIPP/US by the same organization (Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States). In addition, during his master studies at UC Berkeley he obtained a certificate of specialization in Law and Technology.

In academia, he was a teaching assistant for Civil Law and Antitrust Law, both at the Universidad de Chile, and a research assistant for Law and Economics, at UC Berkeley School of Law.

He is admitted to practice in Chile and is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
